Whenever I need to purchase a gift for a friend or family member, I always tend to look into purchasing a gift set as I find they make for the perfect gift idea regardless of the occasion. Obviously now it's Christmas gifts season, but gift sets are great for gifting all year round and now is the ideal time to purchase them as most brands launch them in time for Christmas. Perfume Gift Sets and Aftershave Gift Sets

Whenever I'm thinking about gift sets, it's fragrance gift sets which spring to mind. During the festive season, fragrance brands tend to release gift set versions of their fragrances as they're so giftable and they're usually a really good deal. I can't think of anyone who wouldn't appreciate a fragrance gift set, especially as they're always so beautifully presented. I would recommend purchasing gift sets which don't have festive packaging if you're intending to gift the set at any other time than Christmas. What I personally really love with fragrance gift sets is that you generally get a generous size bottle of the fragrance itself as well as an accompanying product or two, all packaged up beautifully but the price is normally around the same as purchasing just the bottle of fragrance so it's an absolute no brainer. I don't know about you, but I am awful with wrapping presents so I always appreciate easy to wrap boxes and packaging and gift sets and pretty packaging makes the gift look that little bit more special.

Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau de Toilette and Body Lotion Gift Set 

Purchasing a fragrance for someone when you don't know their fragrance likes and dislikes can be a little daunting, so I would recommend opting for a bestselling scent as there's a greater chance your recipient would love it. For women I would recommend Marc Jacobs Daisy as it's a beautiful white floral which has been a bestseller since its launch in 2007. In fact, Daisy was the original Marc Jacobs scent and has since inspired numerous incarnations. This particular set contains an incredible 100ml bottle of the Daisy Eau de Toilette as well as a 150ml bottle of the matching Body Lotion and an adorable 4ml miniature sized bottle of the fragrance. I like it when sets contain a miniature size of the fragrance as they're handy for carrying around in your handbag. Fragrances always last longer and are intensified when you layer them, so the beauty with a fragrance gift set is that it usually contains a lotion and/or shower gel to use alongside the fragrance itself. This combination helps prolong the longevity and sillage of the scent.

Paco Rabanne Invictus Eau de Toilette and Shower Gel Gift Set

My option for men would have to be the Paco Rabanne Invictus fragrance as it's a universally likable male fragrance as well as a bestseller. It's an aquatic scent with a citrus twist which smells fresh and clean and would work well for men of all ages. I think this particular Invictus set is great because it contains a 100ml size of the fragrance, alongside a 100ml tube of the matching All Over Shampoo. The All Over Shampoo is particularly convenient as it can be used on both the hair and body. This set comes packaged within a gorgeous, gunmetal metal tin which could be reused for storage, making this gift set an even better value! Plus, the box design in general just looks rather impressive.

Victoria's Secret Bombshell Mini Set

I am a big fan of gift sets which you can share amongst friends and the Victoria's Secret Bombshell Mini Set is the perfect example of one of those sets. Skincare gift sets are one of my favourite types of gift sets as they allow you the chance to try multiple skincare products at the same time. With pricier skincare brands, it's possible to get a miniature sample of a product from a counter, but that still doesn't allow you to try the range as a whole. This is particularly frustrating as some products are designed to work together in unison for intensified and maximised results. That's where the Clinique Repairwear Gift Set comes in! This handy travel sized set allows you to try all three products within the repairwear range for less.
