As this is a darker hair dye, it is suitable for direct application to level 8 (light brown) hair, but the results will be a more tonal shimmer of purple, which is more noticeable in the light. Our customers are creating their own custom burgundy shades by mixing with similar shades; Aubergine and Bordeaux.
